Flynn PTO Update 6/2/13

June PTO meeting this Thursday at 6:30 in the library.  Free pizza and childcare.  Help wrap up the schoolyear and lay plans for 2013-14.  The agenda is included at the end of this blog post.

Flynn School SPRINGFEST 2013 a grand success!!!

Despite the low temperatures, many families braved the cold and came out Sunday May 19th for a wonderful time of face painting, bouncy castle, basketball, enjoyed some dazzling magic shows, got free books at the book swap and much more!!

The silent auction raised almost $700 and had these lucky winners:

4 front row seats and 1 VIP parking spot to the 2014 school play- April Moulout

Mother/Child weekend at Camp Abnaki - Sasha Dietsoul-Cooler

Burton snowboard and beautiful framed duck photograph Jen DeBedout

2 nights in an Apple Tree Point lakefront cabin and Ben and Jerry's 10 free pint coupons, t- shirt and more - Alice Elder

Family dinner prepared and delivered by Kate Belluche- Betsy Ward

4 front row seats and VIP parking to the 2014 talent show+ dinner at the fire station and a ride in the fire truck- Sarah Deshaw

Scholastic book bag- Marie-Claire Smith

Burlington Parks and Rec season pass and 45 minute private baseball coaching session with a RED SOX scout- Michael Pidgeon

2 oil changes, 2 state inspections, 1 tire rotation, 1 tire change over all from City Tire- Tammy Kuypers

All of this would not have been possible without the amazing help of so many! Many great thanks and appreciation go out to: Sarah Deshaw, Jen and Scoob DeBedout, Mary Mitchell, Betsy Ward and her husband John, Chris and Amanda Robbins, Jon and Tammy Kuypers, Ian Blakey, Shanta Eastman, the wonderful Burlington High Schoolers who helped with face painting, everyone who donated food for the bake sale, and a special thanks to Mustafa for all his great help!!

Also the wonderful community business' - Shaws, Hannaford,and Price Chopper for donating chips for the bake sale, Hannafords also cut the watermelon for free for us. Mobil Short Stop for the ice to keep the freezy pops cold. Camp Abnaki for donating the bouncy castle! And to all the people for helping solicit the amazing items for the silent auction!
